A Shortened Biography

I was born around the turn of the century. My mother did not think she could have children before I was born. After a few months of not feeling well, she went to the doctor and was told to take a home test the next morning. When she got home, she asked God for a sign and opened the Bible. The name “Pagiel” looked as if it were the only word she could see and she knew she was pregnant and that I would be a boy. I was born with a birthmark on my leg in the shape of a “P”. My name means “Prevention or Prayer of God”.

From here I grew up having difficulty with a broken home. Satan had caused a lot of trauma, with much friction in my family. Growing up, I never had a clear understanding of what was right. I was frequently angry and my behaviour was erratic. I always enjoyed watching horror movies and became obsessed with vampires but I did not know at the time that this was leading to evil. By age 14, Satan had a strong grip on me, and I became extremly depressed. I attempted suicide, but God saved my life.

My attempt left me completely blind. I was able to obtain help in the form of resources and training which enabled me to live blind, all at no cost to my family. I became proficient in the skills a blind person needs for life within three years.

Two years later I became very sick. I was diagnosed with Covid, bacterial meningitis and sepsis. Although my life was on the line again, God saved me. The greatest lesson I have learned is that Christ is the saviour in all things, big or small.
