One of the easiest apps for the blind to use is Seeing AI. This app makes it so that you can identify things that only those with sight can without assistance from people. After getting familiar with the controls, this app can be a great tool for daily life.
At the very bottom is a choice between two tabs. The first is read and the second is describe. Double tap on the read tab if you want it to read text to you. Double tap on the describe button if you want it to tell you things like colour.
After selecting the read tab, you will then hold anything with text on it in front of the camera. You can then swipe to the left on the screen until you hear take picture. If you were holding it with good alignment over the text, it will read everything to you.
If you wish for things to be described to you, then go to this option in the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. Using the same steps above to take a picture of things will also give you information about it. However, this time you will not be told what is written. Rather, you will be told things like colour or perhaps even any details about pictures like people, buildings, etc.
This app is a great tool for the blind because it makes it so you can identify things without assistance from other people. It will make it so you can do things alone that you cannot identify due to lack of vision. Tools like this make blind living much more self reliant.
