As a newly blind person, you’ve lost your ability to watch movies and play games haven’t you? Actualy, there are many adaptive ways to entertain yourself. After considering the many ways to enjoy yourself as a blind person, you can entertain yourself during your free time.
The first methods of entertainment to consider are without technology. There are adapted games like praille playing cards, tactial tic tac toe and otheres to consider like you could even just do thumb war. These games are well adapted so that you could either play with those who have sight or not.
The other kind of games you could do are on the smartphone. Two apps I know of are Crafting Kingdom and Duolingo. Crafting Kingdom is a game where you set up stations that automaticly produce goods. When you have a lot of goods, you can sell them to make money. Later, the money you got can be used to expand your kingdom and make more goods faster.
Duolingo is not only for fun but will also help you learn something. You get to pick almost any language out there and start learning simple words like hello and goodbye. Later in the app, you will learn whole phrases such as, How much is this? This app is a great way to learn something and have fun at the same time.
With well adapted games like these, any blind person can fill their free time with pleasure. Games like this were made for the sighted but every detail was made understandable through audio alone. After downloading apps like these, you can enjoy yourself with others or even alone.
