It can be very easy for us blind folk to want to stay inside. We cannot see so why would we know what to do with ourselves out there? If you choose the right activity, you can easily enjoy yourself outside and get health benefits.
One of the easiest is to do sun bathing. You can just put on some shorts and sit outside in a place wth few trees and without near by walls. To make this peaceful event fun, you can bring your phone and listen to music and or movies.
Another option is to go on walks. If you’ve had a little training with the cane you can go on either long or perhaps short walks. This gets you moving and makes it so you can leave the house doing something you love.
The final thing I would like to mention is going out with friends. You could chat with someone who can drive and ask if they would like to spend time together. If they say yes, you can make great memories with that person doing things you both love.
After you start getting comfotable with getting out, this will become natural. More trips like walks and perhaps even parties will become common. Doing these things can boost your confidance and really brighten your life as a blind individual.
