Identity

Pwd-Furtherance is a group for the disabled that focuses on self-improvement so that we can live independent lives. We acknowledge our disabilities and work to learn the skills we need to do any tasks like travel, cleaning, cooking, or socialization. With the right time and effort, there is a way to do anything we set our minds to.

Mission

The mission of this group is to grow in independent living skills so we can live without relying on others. While it is good to ask for assistance when needed, there is a way to thrive despite our disabilities. Something we always keep in mind is not “Can I do this?” but, “How can I make this work?”

Values

We value growth in daily life and learning what is needed to be done to meet our goals. Even if it is difficult, there is always a way to make a goal happen. We work together to remind eachother that this may be hard but, it can be done.

Group Meetings

Every Monday, we meet on Zoom at 1pm to learn about God from a trusted source. Learning about our Lord retrains our minds to act in line with his will so that we are always striving to do what is right. We know that he is our purpose in life and strive to understand all that he desires us to do.

We plan to meet in real life in the future, but currently only offer a weekly Zoom Room until we can secure a physical location. I encourage you to join us so that we can all thrive together and continue to build our lives.
